France

Pierre Gimonnet & Fils is a family-owned Champagne house in the Côte des Blancs, run by brothers Didier and Olivier Gimonnet. The family’s winegrowing roots stretch back to the 17th–18th century, with bottling beginning in 1935. Their vineyards are planted almost entirely to Chardonnay across Grand Cru and Premier Cru villages, with many vines over 30 years old and some in Cramant reaching a century. Farming is described as sustainable, with limited herbicide use, no fertilizers, biodiversity protection, and selection massale, though no formal certification is noted. In the cellar, the approach emphasizes terroir through low dosage and avoidance of bâtonnage.
