Jorge Navascués Enología

Spain

Jorge Navascués Enología is a privately owned, third-generation family estate in Almonacid de la Sierra, Zaragoza, at the foothills of the Sierra de Algairén. The Navascués family farms 4.5 hectares of slate-soil vineyards, including northern-exposed sites and an isolated plot surrounded by almond trees. Winemaker Jorge Navascués crafts the wines alongside Jesús Navascués, using concrete tanks for fermentation and ageing, with limited oak and a gradual introduction of foudres. The range includes Cutio, Mancuso and small-production single-vineyard Mas de Mancuso wines. No organic or biodynamic certification, or formal environmental programme, is mentioned.
