Château Maucamps is a family-owned Haut-Médoc estate in Macau, with roots reaching back to the 18th century and ownership by the Tessandier family since 1954. Its clay-and-gravel vineyards are planted mainly to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. The estate holds the highest-level HVE environmental certification and follows sustainable viticulture, including manual harvesting and responsible management of waste and resources. Parcels are vinified separately in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, then matured in French oak with limited new wood; amphorae have been introduced since 2024 for gentle micro-oxygenation. The wines are described as structured, elegant and balanced, combining dark-fruit, leather and spice notes with silky tannins and strong aging potential.
