Château La Pointe

France

Château La Pointe is a historic Pomerol estate in Bordeaux, first noted among the appellation’s leading names in the 19th century and long associated with its Directoire-style château. Owned by the d’Arfeuille family from 1941 until 2007 and now held by Generali France, it combines heritage with a renewed technical focus since the late 2000s. The estate is strongly committed to sustainability, with HVE, ISO 14001 and SME certifications, no glyphosate use, mechanical ploughing, organic and biocontrol treatments, green and animal-based fertilizers, rainwater recovery, solar panels, and a dedicated biodiversity park. Vineyard and cellar work are carried out with careful plot-by-plot attention, led by Eric Monneret with consultancy from Hubert de Boüard de Laforest.
