Ormanni is a historic family-run estate in Tuscany’s Chianti hills, owned by the Brini family since 1818 and now led by Paola Brini Batacchi. With roots stretching back to the 1200s, the property later passed through the Scarlatti and Medici families before entering Brini ownership. The estate is based around Chianti Classico and Chianti vineyards in the Poggibonsi and Barberino Val d’Elsa areas, alongside olive groves. Its wines are made from 100% Sangiovese, fermented in stainless steel and aged in large oak casks or barriques. Ormanni presents its farming as organic, though no certification is cited. The estate also reflects its agricultural heritage through agriturismo hospitality in the heart of Chianti.
