Le Potazzine

Italy

Tenuta Le Potazzine is a family-run estate in Montalcino, Tuscany, owned by Gigliola Giannetti and her daughters Viola and Sofia, with Gigliola as winemaker. Founded in 1993, it focuses on Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino from Sangiovese grown at high-altitude sites. Certified organic, the estate works by hand, keeps low yields, harvests manually, and ferments with indigenous yeasts. The winemaking aims for a natural expression of terroir and vintage, with aging in large Slavonian oak casks to emphasize balance, elegance, personality, and freshness. Their wines are frequently noted in the press for their perfume, vibrancy, and refined style.
