Il Conte Villa Prandone

Italy

Il Conte Villa Prandone is a family-run winery of the De Angelis family in Monteprandone, at the heart of Piceno in Italy’s Marche region. The family’s viticultural history began in 1956, and the estate now cultivates its own vineyards and produces wines in its own winery. Native varieties including Pecorino, Passerina, Montepulciano and Sangiovese are central to the range, expressed in wines such as Rosso Piceno, Offida Pecorino and Passerina. Clay-rich soils, together with cooling influences from the Adriatic Sea and Sibillini Mountains, shape the vineyard microclimate. The family describes its approach as combining inherited winemaking methods with continual attention to quality, territory and low-impact viticulture. The estate also welcomes visitors for vineyard walks, cellar visits and tastings.
