Pierre André

France

Pierre André is a family-owned estate in the Rhône Valley, founded in 1957 and commercially bottling since 1978. Based in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, it remains in the André family and is now led by fifth-generation winemaker Jacqueline André alongside her son Vincent. The vineyards are herbicide-free and rooted in quartzite, limestone, and sandy terrace soils, with notably old vines averaging 75 years and some over 140. The domaine was the first in Châteauneuf-du-Pape to gain organic certification in 1980, followed by biodynamic certification in 1992, underscoring a long-standing commitment to sustainable farming.
