Cullen Wines is a family-owned Margaret River estate in Wilyabrup, founded in 1971 by Dr. Kevin and Diana Cullen and now led by their daughter, Vanya Cullen, as Managing Director and chief winemaker. Farming has long centred on environmental care, with organic viticulture since 1998, biodynamic certification from the mid-2000s, and carbon-neutral leadership. The estate works with old granite and gravelly sandy loam soils, dry farms its vines, and uses hand pruning and hand harvesting. In the winery, the approach is gentle and low-intervention, with indigenous yeasts, little or no additions, minimal oak, and restrained fining and filtration, all aimed at expressing site, season and fruit purity. Sustainability, quality and integrity sit at the heart of the estate’s identity.
