Cien y Pico is an artisanal wine project based at Casa El Almendro in Casas Ibáñez, Albacete, within DO Manchuela. Rescued in 2007 by a collective of winemakers, it is now owned and operated by Luis Jiménez and Caterina Tucci. The team works with century-old vines, particularly Bobal and Garnacha Tintorera, hand-harvesting grapes without industrial methods. Located near the Cabriel Valley UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the project emphasizes biodiversity, authenticity, history, and terroir. Presenting itself as a collective of winemakers and artists, Cien y Pico aims to preserve the region’s vineyard legacy through expressive, old-vine wines.
