Roederer Estate

United States

Founded in 1982 in California’s cool, fog-shrouded Anderson Valley, Roederer Estate is the family-owned U.S. outpost of Maison Louis Roederer, with ownership remaining in the Rouzaud family. Focused on estate-grown Chardonnay and Pinot Noir for sparkling wine, it draws on the region’s slow-ripening Pacific climate and a meticulous farming approach rooted in soil knowledge, site selection, and careful harvest timing. Notes indicate organic and biodynamic farming across part of the estate, with an aim toward full organic certification. The house works in the traditional French method, incorporating oak-aged reserve wines, and has released site-specific and prestige bottlings such as L’Ermitage. Its winemaking lineage runs from Michel Salgues to longtime cellar master Arnaud Weyrich.
