Pierre Frick

France

Pierre Frick is a family-run estate in Pfaffenheim, Alsace, led by Jean-Pierre and Chantal Frick, with roots in the region’s vineyard history stretching back generations. Farming has been organic since 1970 and biodynamic since 1981, with Demeter certification, making the domaine an early pioneer of these practices in Alsace. Their vineyards are spread across multiple limestone-dominant terroirs, including Grand Cru sites such as Steinert, Vorbourg, and Eichberg. In the cellar, the approach is firmly low-intervention: hand-harvested fruit, whole-cluster pressing, native-yeast fermentations, no chaptalisation or acid correction, and wines often bottled with little or no added sulfur. Extended ageing in old oak foudres and a focus on parcel expression define a range of authentic, living wines.
