Producer

Domaine Lafage

France

Domaine Lafage is a family-owned producer in Roussillon, led by Jean-Marc and Eliane Lafage, heirs to a long family winegrowing tradition dating back to 1798. Their vineyards stretch from the Mediterranean coast to the foothills of the Pyrenees across a mosaic of terroirs including coastal pebbles, schist, black marl, gneiss and granite, with some very old vines. The domaine focuses on expressing the typicity of Roussillon through detailed vineyard mapping, native grape varieties, and site-adapted farming. Many parcels are certified organic and others are in conversion, alongside regenerative practices such as cover crops, no tillage, biochar trials, agroforestry and ecopasture, all aimed at adapting to climate change and improving soil health.
