Vignes du Maynes

France

Vignes du Maynes is a family-run estate in Cruzille, Burgundy, rooted in a site first cultivated by the monks of Cluny in 910 and carried forward by the Guillot family since 1952. Pierre and Jeanne Guillot established organic farming from the start, and the domaine has been certified biodynamic by Demeter since 1998, with Julien Guillot fully applying biodynamics from 2001. Today Julien continues the work of Pierre and Alain Guillot with a low-intervention approach: native yeasts, no enzymes, minimal filtration, low sulfur, and manual harvests. The vineyards are planted to Chardonnay, Gamay, and Pinot Noir, with some parcels ploughed by horse, reflecting the estate’s long-standing commitment to chemical-free farming and living wines.
