Terre de la Custodia is a family-owned winery in the hills of Gualdo Cattaneo, near Montefalco, and part of the multi-generational Farchioni Group. Its vineyards in Montefalco and Todi are farmed organically, though not fully certified, with VIVA certification supporting monitoring of emissions, soil health, biodiversity and water resources; the estate also holds SQNPI and FSSC 22000 certifications. The winery combines Umbrian tradition with modern technology, seeking to express the territory through wines including Sagrantino, Grechetto and Sangiovese. Winemaking is overseen by consultant Riccardo Cotarella and in-house winemaker Marco Minciarelli. The family’s philosophy emphasizes responsible agriculture, respect for biodiversity and careful use of resources, while its wines have received recognition from guides and competitions including Gambero Rosso and WineHunter.
