Séléné

France

Séléné is a family-owned estate in Beaujolais, near Blacé, led by founder and winemaker Sylvère Richard, who took over his grandmother’s vineyard in 2012. He oversees both the vineyard’s conversion and the winemaking, giving the project a personal, hands-on character. The estate follows organic and loosely biodynamic farming, guided by the lunar calendar, though it is not formally certified. Biodiversity is an important part of the approach, with an orchard planted in 2020 and shade trees added between vine rows. Séléné is defined by its family roots, careful farming, and Sylvère Richard’s close involvement across the whole estate.
