Producer

Luis Anxo Rodríguez Vázquez

Spain

Luis Anxo Rodríguez Vázquez runs the family-owned Viña de Martín adega in Arnoia, Ribeiro, Galicia, built by his grandfather. The boutique estate’s vineyards occupy steep, south-facing terraces on sandy, decomposed granite soils, divided into nearly 200 micro-plots and planted with vines aged roughly 10–60 years. Farming follows organic-style practices, without formal certification. Vázquez is both proprietor and winemaker, guiding an artisanal approach based on hand harvesting, native-yeast fermentations, low sulfur additions, lees aging and limited new oak. The wines are made with minimal intervention, including no fining or filtration in some cuvées.
