Mas Champart

France

Mas Champart is a family-run estate in Saint-Chinian, Languedoc-Roussillon, founded in 1976 by Isabelle and Mathieu Champart, who remain hands-on in the domaine, with Isabelle leading winemaking and Mathieu the vineyard work. The vineyards lie on limestone hills near Saint-Chinian, with terraced parcels, old vines, and a mix of clay and limestone terroirs that bring freshness and structure. Farming follows a sustainable, eco-friendly approach, with organic conversion begun in 2019 and much of the vineyard worked organically. In the cellar, the philosophy is minimal intervention: manual harvests, native yeasts, gentle extraction, and restrained sulphur use. The wines are noted for complexity, finesse, and a strong expression of Saint-Chinian terroir.
