Georgia

Marani, also known as Telavi Wine Cellar, is a Georgian producer in Kakheti whose historic cellar was founded in 1915. Based in the Alazani Valley, it works with regional vineyards and traditional Georgian varieties including Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane and Kisi, alongside selected international grapes. Its wines aim to express Kakheti’s soils, climate and winemaking heritage. Modern stainless-steel equipment, pneumatic presses and temperature control are used alongside oak, barriques and traditional and new qvevri. The winery’s experienced Georgian team includes winemakers with family traditions and long careers at Marani, supported by international consulting expertise. Its range includes controlled-origin wines such as Tsinandali, Mukuzani and Kindzmarauli, as well as qvevri-based Satrapezo wines and everyday Telavuri bottlings.
