Founded in 2010 by four friends—Javier García, Laura Robles, David Velasco and David Moreno—4 Monos is a boutique Madrid project based around a small bodega and vineyards in Cadalso de los Vidrios, San Martín de Valdeiglesias and Cenicientos. Its high-altitude Sierra de Gredos parcels have granitic soils and are farmed organically, across both owned vineyards and collaborations with local growers. Javier García and Laura Robles lead the winemaking, using natural methods to express and revive old-vine Garnacha and Cariñena.
