Maison Capitain Gagnerot

France

Maison Capitain Gagnerot is a long-established family estate in Ladoix-Serrigny, Burgundy, founded in 1802 and now in its 9th generation under Pierre-François Capitain, his sister Delphine, and their spouses. The domaine works exclusively with its own vineyards, chiefly on the Corton hill and across a range of Burgundy appellations. Certified organic by Ecocert since 2021, the estate also follows reasoned, low-intervention farming with biodynamic methods when possible, natural treatments, regular plowing, and hand harvesting. In the cellar, Pierre-François leads gentle, traditional vinification of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, using minimal new oak to preserve freshness, terroir expression, typicity, and elegance.
