Champagne Le Gallais is a small, family-run estate in Boursault, in the Vallée de la Marne, owned and operated by Charlotte Le Gallais and her father Hervé, with Charlotte as winemaker. The domaine farms four hectares within the historic, fully walled Clos Boursault and vinifies only grapes from its own seven parcels. Respect for nature guides the work: insecticides have been avoided since 1991, herbicides since 2015, with hand harvesting, mechanical soil work, reduced sulphites and conversion toward sustainable viticulture; the estate received Haute Valeur Environnementale certification in 2020. Production focuses on finesse and elegance, with wines aged at least 48 months from vine to glass and bottles resting on lees for a minimum of three years. Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay are grown on limestone and clay soils.
