Lagar de Pintos

Lagar de Pintos is a fourth-generation family estate in Ribadumia’s Val do Salnés, housed in a traditional Galician manor held by the Pintos family since the winery’s establishment in 1887. Led by winemaker Marta Castro-Pintos, it focuses on Albariño from seven mature parcels on granitic-sandy soils, trained on traditional Emparrado pergolas. The vineyards have been farmed organically since the 2000s, reflecting the estate’s pioneering commitment to sustainable, respectful viticulture; the wines are vegan and made with minimal intervention. Parcels are vinified separately, with indigenous-yeast fermentation, whole-bunch pressing, and lees ageing with regular bâtonnage. The winery also preserves the historic 1873 Molino de Rvdiño, linking its winegrowing to Galicia’s agricultural heritage.
