Ironstone Vineyards is a family-owned and operated California winery founded by John and Gail Kautz, with vineyards in Lodi and the Sierra Foothills and a winery opened in Murphys in 1990. The estate emphasizes estate-grown grapes and sustainable farming, including integrated pest management and third-party sustainability certifications. Winemaking is led by Steve Millier. The Kautz family remains closely involved across vineyard operations, finance, property development, and international sales, maintaining a long-standing family presence in the business. Ironstone has received multiple awards, including Double Gold at the California State Fair.
