Il Borro

Italy

Il Borro is a historic estate in Tuscany’s Upper Valdarno, owned by Ferruccio Ferragamo and the Ferragamo family since 1993. Revived from its millennial roots, the property combines a winery, organic farm and hospitality business. Certified organic since 2015, Il Borro also follows biodynamic practices and has earned Viva Sustainable Winery certification. Its sustainability work includes renewable energy, circular-economy waste reuse, biodiversity measures such as beehives, and even draft-horse vineyard work. The wines balance local tradition with international varieties, with Sangiovese joined by Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, and a focus on expressing the Valdarno di Sopra territory.
