Producer

Francesco Cadinu

Italy

Francesco Cadinu is a family-run winery founded by Francesco and Simonetta in 2015, continuing a multigenerational viticultural tradition in Mamoiada, Sardinia. Its vineyards lie at around 650 metres on granitic, loose, slightly acidic soils and are cultivated in the traditional alberello system with a sustainable, environmentally respectful approach. Some vines are over 100 years old, and the estate’s eight vineyards are vinified separately, with older parcels producing single-vineyard Ghirada wines named after local traditions and places. Selected grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation without added yeasts. A member of the Mamojà association, the winery contributes to a shared effort to promote and protect Mamoiada’s wine and territory.
