Finca La Emperatriz

Spain

Finca La Emperatriz is a single-estate winery in Rioja Alta, owned and operated by brothers Eduardo and Víctor Hernáiz through the Hermanos Hernáiz group. The family acquired the property in 1996, with involvement dating to 1986, and Eduardo leads winemaking decisions. The estate follows largely organic and sustainable practices, including pheromone treatments, no herbicides and composting of pruning residues, and holds ISO 14001 environmental-management certification. Its wines are made from the estate’s own vineyards, reflecting a family-run approach grounded in careful environmental stewardship.
