Founded in 1901 in Ponte-Leccia, central Corsica, Domaine Vico is a historic family estate owned and run by Manu Venturi, following his father Jean-Marc’s acquisition in 1987. Its vineyards, planted on varied schist, basalt, granite, gravel, clay and rolled-pebble soils at altitude, experience a distinctive continental mountain climate that brings freshness, tension and southern maturity. Farming is certified organic and biodynamic, with complementary permaculture, bee-keeping, animal breeding and low-intervention practices focused on preserving the land and its biodiversity. The estate produces terroir-driven white, rosé and red wines from native Corsican varieties including Vermentino, Grenache, Sciaccarellu and the rare Carcaghjolu Neru, with indigenous yeasts and aging in large old barrels.
