Producer

Domaine Ligier

France

Domaine Ligier is an independent family-run estate in Arbois, in France’s Jura region, owned and operated by brothers Hervé and Stéphane Ligier. The domaine follows a lutte raisonnée approach, limiting herbicide, fungicide, and pesticide use, with plans to eliminate herbicides altogether. Its wines are presented as sustainable. The estate also follows a careful replanting policy, leaving a 2–3 year gap between removing old vines and planting new ones, which has led to a relatively high proportion of young vines. Overall, Domaine Ligier stands out as a hands-on Jura producer with a practical, sustainability-minded approach in both vineyard management and long-term renewal.
