Domaine La Manarine

France

La Manarine is a family-owned estate in the Southern Rhône’s Travaillan area of Plan de Dieu, owned and run by Gilles Gasq since 2001. The domaine farms certified organic vineyards on limestone-clay soils, with organic practices in place since 2011 and a stated move toward biodynamic methods. Vineyard work is hands-on, including hand pruning, partial manual harvest, and the use of vegetal manure. In the cellar, Gasq follows a low-intervention approach with indigenous yeasts, stainless-steel and cement tanks, around 20 days of maceration, and extended lees aging. The estate also sells part of its production en vrac to local négociants.
