Revived in 2011 by proprietor Mark O’Connell and partner Pierre Meurgey, Domaine Clos de la Chapelle is a Côte de Beaune estate based at Château de Bligny. Its vineyards span Volnay, Pommard, Meursault, Corton, Pernand-Vergelesses and Beaune, including the Volnay Clos de la Chapelle monopole and parcels in Corton-Charlemagne and Corton-Rognet. The domaine farms organically and follows biodynamic principles, with hand-picked grapes and minimal-intervention winemaking. Since 2017, the team has worked in a dedicated facility within Château de Bligny alongside winemaker Dominique Lafon, sharing a commitment to these practices. The range includes Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from distinguished Premier Cru and Grand Cru sites, with wines aged in barrel. The historic walled Clos, chapel, cemetery and traditional cabotte give the domaine a distinctive Burgundian identity.
