Clos Bellane

France

Clos Bellane is a small, boutique domaine in the high hills of Valréas in the Southern Rhône, with vineyards above 400 metres on eastern-facing, pure limestone slopes. Owned and operated by winemaker Stéphane Vedeau since 2010, the estate is certified organic by Ecocert and follows biodynamic-style practices, avoiding herbicides and pesticides and harvesting by hand. Vedeau makes cool-climate Rhône wines with indigenous yeasts, minimal extraction, and élevage in tanks, concrete, and large old barrels. The resulting style emphasizes freshness, purity, and a clear expression of terroir.
