Château Preuillac is a historic Médoc estate on Bordeaux’s left bank, founded in 1869 and long recognized as Cru Bourgeois, promoted to Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in 2020. Its ownership has passed through several families before its 2014 purchase by SAS Vin Plus, led by Gen-Xiong Li, with continuity from Jonathan Mau and Derenoncourt Consultants. The vineyard is planted mainly to Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, on sandy and gravelly soils. Farming includes detailed soil studies, elimination of chemical herbicides, annual vineyard renewal, and HVE3-certified environmental management. In the cellar, hand-harvested fruit is gravity handled, carefully sorted, fermented in temperature-controlled tanks, and aged partly in French oak to preserve fruit and elegance.
