Château Fourcas Hosten

France

Château Fourcas Hosten is a family-run estate in Listrac-Médoc, Bordeaux, owned by brothers Laurent and Renaud Momméja since 2006, with Eloi Jacob overseeing the estate’s organic and biodynamic programmes. Its vineyard sits on the clay-limestone soils of the Listrac plain and the Pyrenean gravels of the Fourcas plateau, with detailed parcel mapping used to match grape varieties to each site. The estate has been fully certified organic by ECOCERT since 2020–2021, with biodynamic practices expanded across the property and biodiversity encouraged through shelters, hives and hedges. In the cellar, gravity-fed handling is used to protect the fruit and preserve aromatic purity. The domaine presents itself through an eco-responsible, terroir-focused approach rooted in environmental stewardship and long-term transmission.
