Château de Rieufret

France

Château de Rieufret is part of the family-run Château Simon estate in Barsac, Bordeaux, whose history dates to 1814. The Dufour family farms vineyards across the Sauternes, Graves and Bordeaux appellations, combining inherited know-how with modern, environmentally respectful techniques. Vineyard management includes alternative methods, modern biocontrol solutions and Haute Valeur Environnementale certification. Anne-Laure Dufour-Bonnard oversees vinification, élevage and blending, while Pauline Dufour-Descamps manages administration and sales. Château de Rieufret’s wines are fermented in temperature-controlled tanks and undergo malolactic fermentation, reflecting a consistent, carefully managed style.
