Chateau de Montfrin

France

Founded in 2010, Château de Montfrin is an organically certified estate in the Rhône Valley, owned and operated by Jean-René de Fleurieu with the involvement of Aurore de Fleurieu. Alongside organic olive oils, it produces wines across five appellations, including Côtes du Rhône Villages, Côtes du Rhône and Costières de Nîmes. The estate farms varied Rhône landscapes, with some parcels irrigated during increasingly long dry periods, and combines manual harvesting with carbonic maceration for selected wines. Its style is airy and fruit-driven, with little or no oak and an emphasis on terroir. The range includes a sulfur-free natural wine made from healthy, ripe grapes, reflecting the estate’s commitment to careful organic winemaking.
