Château Brane-Cantenac

France

Château Brane-Cantenac is a Second Growth estate in Margaux, Bordeaux, owned by the Lurton family since 1925 and today led by Henri Lurton. Its vineyards lie on the gravel-rich plateau de Brane, divided into distinct terraces, a defining feature of the estate’s site. Sustainability is a clear focus, with HVE certification, 20% organic plantings, a dedicated weather station linked to the DEMETER network, and eco-friendly winery renovations including optical sorting and Air Tec pneumatic suspension. The estate also uses anti-counterfeit holograms on its bottles. Historically, the property traces its roots to the early 17th century and was renamed Château Brane-Cantenac in 1838 by the Baron of Brane.
