Cascina delle Monache

Italy

Cascina delle Monache is a family-run estate in Gavi, Piedmont, owned by the Arecco family and rooted in a farmhouse documented in early-1900s land registries. The family began cultivating and vinifying its own Cortese in 1978, continuing the work of founders Rosangela and Carlo. Today, Tiziano leads the viticulture and winemaking, combining traditional methods with an innovative approach, while the wider family contributes across vineyard care, hospitality, and logistics. Sustainable viticulture and sensible winemaking guide the estate, whose wines express the calcareous-sandy terroir of the Gavi hills. Its historic vineyard provides the fruit for Ronco del Mandorlo, while the overall project remains focused on quality, community, and a close connection to the land.
