Founded by Dorino Livon in 1964, Livon remains a family-owned producer in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, now managed across generations by the Livon family. Based in the Collio and Colli Orientali del Friuli, the estate works with marl, sandstone and calcareous-dolomitic soils, cultivating ancient native grape varieties and applying organic vineyard practices. Production emphasizes quality and limited-quantity Cru wines, with low yields encouraged through shorter pruning and dense planting. The family has also expanded its winemaking activity to Borgo Salcetino in Chianti Classico and ColSanto in Montefalco, while maintaining a focus on regional character and traditional varieties. Livon’s wines are presented in Classica, CRU and Gran CRU lines, with the winged woman symbol representing the estate since 1985.
