De Forville

De Forville is a historic fifth-generation family estate in Barbaresco, Piedmont, founded in 1860 by Gioacchino De Forville. Now run by Paolo and Valter Anfosso, the winery is closely tied to Barbaresco and to Nebbiolo, with vineyards in Barbaresco and Castagnole Lanze, including sites such as Loreto, Ovello, and Cavanna. Farming is described as sustainable and rooted in careful vineyard work and respect for nature, with the aim of preserving the grapes’ natural character. In the cellar, De Forville balances tradition and technology, using temperature-controlled fermentation and aging spaces, stainless steel for fermentation, and wood for wines such as Barbaresco, Nebbiolo, and Barbera. The estate focuses on wines with character and a strong expression of territory.
