Andresen

Portugal

Founded in the 19th century by a Danish Port enthusiast, Andresen remains a family-owned estate in Portugal’s Douro. The house produces a broad range of Port styles, including Vintage, Tawny, Ruby and Late-Bottled Vintage. Its approach combines sustainable, manually managed vineyard work with a focus on terroir, although no formal organic or biodynamic certification is mentioned. Traditional winemaking includes foot-treading in stone lagares and stopping fermentation with grape spirit, using indigenous Douro varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela and Tinta Barroca.
