Italy

Nicolis is a family-run estate founded in 1951 by Angelo Nicolis in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, Veneto. Now led by his son Giuseppe, the winemaker, with support from his brothers, the family personally manages about 35 hectares of certified organic vineyards. Production is around 220,000 bottles annually. Their philosophy is deeply rooted in the terroir, focusing on native varieties and meticulous, quality-driven winemaking, including controlled grape drying. Sustainability is a core value, implemented through manual harvesting, green agronomic practices like cover cropping, clean energy from solar panels, and water-saving irrigation, all aimed at protecting biodiversity and expressing an authentic sense of place.
