Meritxell Pallejà is a privately owned, family-run boutique estate in Gratallops, Priorat. Founder and winemaker Meritxell Pallejà farms five separate vineyard plots, planted between 1969 and 2008 on Priorat’s slate (llicorella) soils. The vineyards are cultivated biodynamically, with soils worked without pesticides or chemical treatments; no formal certifications are listed. She acquired the plots over time and draws on experience with Álvaro Palacios, as well as training in Burgundy and Napa. The estate’s focused, sustainable approach is expressed through small-to-medium production.
