Lamborn Family Vineyards is a family-owned and operated Napa Valley producer, farming Howell Mountain since 1969 across four generations. Its estate vineyard sits at 2,200 feet in volcanic Aiken Loam soils above the fog line, producing concentrated, fresh Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon. The family farms the vineyard themselves using organic practices, compost, cover-cropping, beneficial insect habitats, and minimal soil disruption, with fruit exclusively from their estate. Wines are made in small lots by Heidi Barrett, who has worked with Lamborn since 1997. The family runs every aspect of the winery, emphasizing hands-on farming, proprietor-grown fruit, and single-vineyard wines with a strong sense of place.
