Domaine Zafeirakis

Greece

Ktima Zafeirakis is a family-owned estate in the PGI Tyrnavos area of Northern Greece, where the Zafeirakis family has cultivated vineyards for over a century. Led by fourth-generation winemaker Christos Zafeirakis, the domaine focuses on organic and biodynamic viticulture, with organic certification since 2005 and biodynamic farming since 2019. The estate emphasizes minimal intervention, biodiversity, and natural fermentations without added yeast. Privately owned vineyards next to the winery help preserve fruit quality at harvest. The range includes indigenous grapes such as Limniona and Malagousia alongside international varieties, with élevage in tank, large oak, and amphorae. The winery is particularly noted for its commitment to Greek wine identity and for bottling a single-varietal Limniona.
