Château Anthonic is a family-run estate in Moulis-en-Médoc, Bordeaux, owned by the Cordonnier family since 1977 and now led by Jean-Baptiste and Théophile Cordonnier. One of the appellation’s older properties, it farms clay-limestone, sandy-clay and gravel soils with traditional Médoc varieties, including Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Organic conversion began in 2016, with certification from the 2019 vintage, alongside biodynamic principles and an expanding agroforestry project. Hedges, natural grass cover, wetlands, drainage and wildlife corridors support a notably biodiverse environment. In the cellar, gentle extraction, oak ageing and amphorae are used to preserve fruit expression while respecting the wines’ Médoc character.
