Tenuta di Saragano

Italy

Tenuta di Saragano is a long-established family estate in Umbria, between Todi and Montefalco, owned by the Pongelli Benedettoni family since the 13th century. Wine has been produced here since 1921, with vineyards positioned above 470 metres and dedicated to Montefalco varieties including Sagrantino, Sangiovese, Merlot, Grechetto and Trebbiano Spoletino. The estate preserves its original Sagrantino clone for future generations. Its approach combines respect for tradition with sustainable, certified organic farming, low yields and meticulous cellar work. Wines are aged in a natural sandstone cave, while the renovated winery welcomes visitors during harvest.
