Italy

Poggerino is a family-run estate in Radda in Chianti, in the heart of Chianti Classico, where Piero and his team oversee both vineyard work and hospitality. The property includes vineyards and olive groves, with vines planted mainly to Sangiovese alongside a small amount of Merlot on galestro-rich soils at 400–500 meters. Farming is organic, with no pesticides, herbicides, synthetic fungicides, or chemical fertilizers; instead, the estate uses composted manure, green manure, and mechanical weed control. In the cellar, the focus is on careful vineyard work and healthy, fully ripe fruit to create wines with character, longevity, and soft tannins. Poggerino also welcomes visitors for tastings, lunches, and stays on the estate.
