La Braccesca

Italy

La Braccesca is a historic estate in Montepulciano, Tuscany, owned by the Bracci family, the Bracci counts, since its founding. The vineyards are divided between the Montepulciano-Cortona border and parcels around Montepulciano, including the historic sub-zones of Cervognano, Santa Pia, and Gracciano. The estate works with differing soils, from clay-loam in the Cortona area to sandy-loam, sandy soils, and rocky "scheletro" deposits around Montepulciano, supporting Syrah and Sangiovese plantings. La Braccesca released its first Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG in 1990. No organic, biodynamic, or other sustainability certifications are mentioned in the source.
