Francesco Rinaldi

Italy

Francesco Rinaldi is a long-established family estate in Barolo, founded in 1870 by Giovanni Rinaldi and still run by the Rinaldi family, today led by Paola and Piera Rinaldi with Elisa and Francesca. The vineyards are in key Barolo communes including Barolo, La Morra and Castiglione Falletto, with notable sites such as Cannubi, Brunate and Rocche dell’Annunziata, on soils ranging from sandy and sandstone-rich to clayey and calcareous. The estate follows a traditional style, with long fermentations and aging in large Slavonian oak barrels, alongside some modern improvements in the cellar. Viticulture is described as organic-oriented, though no formal certification is mentioned. The house is especially associated with classic Barolo, rooted in history, tradition, and multigenerational family continuity.
